Beneficial Insects

This is a workshop that can be held inside or outside, as there is no PowerPoint presentation. I use handouts and preserved insects and discuss all of the ecosystem services performed by insects and how to identify actual pests, which make up less than 2% of all insect species. We talk about how to invite and support beneficial insect communities in your garden and things you should avoid whenever possible.
